The path from Kerasovo follows a southerly direction and successively passes by Prophet Ilias, the Koutsoura ravine and the sites of Pefkophyta and Koutsouro.
It crosses forests of black pine, fir and, higher up, Herldreich’s pines to end up after 5 hours in Drakolimni (2150m). Then, in a now bare landscape and in an easterly direction, the path climbs to the top of Smolikas, which can be reached in an extra 1.30 hour. The route is well marked with signs.
