In 1995, the Municipality of Konitsa organized a sculpture symposium in order to honor the “Pelekanous” (old stone craftsmen) of the surrounding area.

The sculptors participated in the symposium were: Dionysis Gerolymatos, Christos Lambrou, Evdokia Papageorgiou, Christos Pappas, Christos Riganas, Christos Lazarakis, Nitsa Syniki Papakosta, Vassilis Vassili, Theodoros Papagiannis, Nikos Kyritsis, Giorgos Chouliaras.
